Working Mathematically in a Rural Context Working Mathematically in a Rural Context

This is the web site for the project Working Mathematically in a Rural Context funded by the Australian Government through the Australian School Innovation in Science, Technology and Mathematics (ASISTM) program.

The project is running in seven schools in the Riverina region of New South Wales during 2008-2009. The aim is to develop a library of high school Working Mathematically activities which focus on a variety of familiar rural pursuits. Use of these activities in the classsroom is intended to heighten students' engagement with mathematics and deepen their understanding.
